Sturdy and versatile, the Lagoon2 two-person inflatable kayak is capable of traversing almost any moderately calm body of water, including lakes, mild rivers, bays, and estuaries. The Lagoon2 is tougher than most other inflatable kayaks, with built-in rigid panels that help define the bow and stern. Because the rigid forms are built directly into the cover, the kayak easily cuts through the waves and keeps you on course.

The outside cover of the Lagoon2, meanwhile, is made of two different materials, with a topside featuring high-denier polyester with a PVC laminate, and the bottom (hull) sporting PVC tarpaulin--two sheets of PVC with a fabric mesh in the middle. The result is a kayak that holds up admirably to tough conditions. Best of all, the boat is a breeze to set up thanks to the quick-inflating Twistlok and high-flow Spring valves. The Lagoon2 is a huge improvement over cumbersome hard-shell boats--which are a pain to lug from the car to the water--or slow-inflating kayaks that take forever to launch.

Paddlers will also love the padded high-support seats, which are not only comfortable but keep you in good paddling position. Other details include an inner tube cover that adds stiffness and protects from abrasion; a landing plate and tracking fin that improve performance; molded rubber-grip handles; bungee deck lacing; a mesh accessory pocket; a splash diverter; a durable fabric cover; a deck lift tube; and a foam floor. The Lagoon2 also comes with a duffel bag for easy transport.
