The Lagoon2 is tougher than most other inflatable kayaks, with built-in rigid panels that help define the bow and stern. Because the rigid forms are built directly into the cover, the kayak easily cuts through the waves and keeps you on course.

The outside cover of the Lagoon2, meanwhile, is made of two different materials, with a topside featuring high-denier polyester with a PVC laminate, and the bottom (hull) sporting PVC tarpaulin--two sheets of PVC with a fabric mesh in the middle. The result is a kayak that holds up admirably to tough conditions. Best of all, the boat is a breeze to set up thanks to the quick-inflating Twistlok and high-flow Spring valves. The Lagoon2 is a huge improvement over cumbersome hard-shell boats--which are a pain to lug from the car to the water--or slow-inflating kayaks that take forever to launch.
